Q: How to fix web pages that have images not displayed?

When you open a web page, one or more graphics or images may not be displayed.  Instead, a placeholder may appear.  Here are some steps to resolve this problem.  Following steps are based on Internet Explorer 8.

>> See whether the image is availabe on another computer <<
1.  If you have another computer available, go to the same webpage using your alternative computer and see if the image is available.
2.  If it appears on the alternative computer, go back to the problem computer and continue the following steps.

Sometimes the webmaster moves the image but it does not get translated to the pages.  If this is the case, the wesite has the image embedded and you will see the placeholder with the red "X".  There is not much you can do about it but report it to the webmaster.
